The documentary Child of their Time explores the two opposing perspectives of adoptive father Lex and his son Tim, who haven’t been on speaking terms in recent years because of Tims adoption. While Lex adopted believing it would be a good deed, his son Tim feels the adoption negatively impacted his life and gave him a deep psychological scar. So in whose interest is adoption, really? If you ask Tim, he says it sure didn’t benefit him. Will father and son ever be able to come to a mutual understanding of their shared adoption story?
